I was at Walgreens yesterday picking up my prescription and they had some new signs along the counter that said "Lets End Period Poverty". You could donate money or purchase the physical products and donate them at the counter. It was a long line so I had more time to think about this than I should have...but how do you truly "end" period poverty? Who is without and when will there never be people it that situation? Wouldn't the only true solution to end it be to have these products available for free? Is this just another opening for the government to come in and demand that these be provided free to women (and men now) like they did with birth control?

They can barely keep enough pharmacists hired to fill their prescriptions, and don’t answer their phone. At least the 3 or 4 we use. I wouldn’t be surprised to see them in dire financial situations in the next 12 months and closing locations like Rite-Aid
