    Period Poverty

I was at Walgreens yesterday picking up my prescription and they had some new signs along the counter that said "Lets End Period Poverty". You could donate money or purchase the physical products and donate them at the counter. It was a long line so I had more time to think about this than I should have...but how do you truly "end" period poverty? Who is without and when will there never be people it that situation? Wouldn't the only true solution to end it be to have these products available for free? Is this just another opening for the government to come in and demand that these be provided free to women (and men now) like they did with birth control?

I don’t even know what this means… are there actually women running around with menstrual blood dripping down their legs?

Should’ve suggested Walgreens end it, they have all the products and can just give them away……

They can barely keep enough pharmacists hired to fill their prescriptions, and don’t answer their phone. At least the 3 or 4 we use. I wouldn’t be surprised to see them in dire financial situations in the next 12 months and closing locations like Rite-Aid

This may be an excellent time to experiment with AI, I don’t think the pharmacist is mixing and pressing pills ☠️🤷‍♂️

I guess i could have, but since Jamal was filling prescriptions, answering the phone, working the counter and the drive through all by himself i dont think he would have cared.

No good deed goes unpunished, probably lawsuits soon for causing toxic shock syndrome

Aren't males period poor since we don't have them? I feel left out and minimized.

There was a period when I was in poverty. It ended when I got a job.

I can see in this current economy a single mother having to make a choice on whether its diapers and formula or pads. People are getting squeezed badly. If your household income is under 50k right now with kids you are hurting.

Walgreens is in serious financial trouble along with a lot of other retail gaints due to theft and higher than all get out wages for workers that could not add 2+2 and get 4!

Heck, I remember when I was a kid, once you got to $100K you're all set. I DO NOT see it that way now.
