    Gas prices

Just out of curiosity I started tracking gas prices starting June 9th—think the libtards are playing us by emptying our petroleum reserves to artificially lower prices?

Of course they are. But to be fair…. Most Rs would do the same. Trump would have torqued up US oil production to offset OPEC decrease

Price of crude has been pretty stable since last quarter of 2022. I don't know but, I bet it will be higher before the 4th of July holiday.

Most 1st quarter turnarounds are complete and units back online. That also helps.

Diesel has been cheap lately. Filled up the Powerstroke for right around $60 last week. Like a rollercoaster though. I figure by the end of the year I'll be spending $75 for 3/4 of a tank again.

It cannot be politically motivated. Joe Biden said that politicians do not influence or regulate gas prices.

Well … not cheap by any means but less costly than 3 months ago

I can see it jumping up $2/gallon quickly after the election or ( placement) of Joe as potus! Then I can see it quickly escalating shortly thereafter .

Doesn’t the price go up in the summer?? Something to do with the summer blend??

True—but my tracking graph doesn[t show that — yet.

Drove from LBK to DFW last weekend for Father’s Day. Gas is $2.65 in LBK and I saw it as high as $3.19, with $3.09 being the norm in DFW.

Keep an eye on the prices in about two weeks, when we’re approaching the 4th of July and a fair amount of people are going to want to turn that into a four day weekend while doing some traveling.

Also watch it near Labor Day weekend. It’s almost guaranteed to go up. It happens pretty much every year and having worked outside with a company truck for over 22 years between 1991 and 2013 it was pretty easy to notice.

Not sure why but HEB on 1488/Kuykendahl had gas for 2.71 gallon at around 5:15 this morning , same location was 2.97 at 12:30 when I passed again.
