And now for something completely different

    This is patient 1.

There are people scared of the idea of putting a chip in your head / body. While they are welcome to their fear - they have no idea what it’s like to live without independence. At best they got grounded by daddy for a couple hours or got their phone taken away. So trying to argue to not allow a chip being implanted to enable independence would be the same as keeping a paraplegic from being able to use a wheelchair.

I am looking forward to seeing other things this technology enables.

So…..how does a chip in your head relate to being independent ?

Pretty sure Joe Biden has a chip implant but the firmware is corrupted.

I didn't watch the video yet. How does the chip help him? What does the chip do? Is it connected anywhere, or completely wireless? Is he now able to walk?

I haven't finished the video but....
At 21:57 he says basically, He (a paraplegic) can try to move his finger. It is not moving but the brain/chip sense that "communication" and move the curser on the computer.

            BRAIN-COMPUTER INTERFACE DEFINITION
A brain-computer interface (BCI) is a device that lets the human brain communicate with and control external software or hardware, like a computer or robotic limb.

Neat stuff. Hope it doesn't get "abused".

That is ok if ya'll don't want to get a chip inserted into your head. I hope you never need one. But if you ever end up in a situation where you need one - I hope you can get one and maybe even walk again. Even if this restored some function it is a lot better than none.
