I think he took one for the team. Our antagonist are orchestrating their actions to keep our troops (including fleets) on a modified wartime footing in three areas and a step down from that in 2 others. Our enemies are proficient at using any news item to their advantage with propaganda. If his hospitalization was released the prima donnas in the HOR would be beating each other up to get their face and voice on the 24 hour news outlets. They have shown over and over they value their political careers over national security.
