Lt. Gov. Dan Patrick said Phelan is “undeserving of his leadership position.”

Not a peep on any of the MSM news about this. Not even on Fox.

It appears to be true. https://texasscorecard.com/state/tex...%20to%20resign.

bill fairbanks of Round Rock and Morgan Cisneros Graham of Cameron county were the 2 dissenting votes.

and I don’t think Phelan was drunk, he seemed to be more high on pills based on his behavior

                  Just got the good news.
I always wondered why common sense policies couldn’t get passed with total Republican control, now we know it was because of the rino Dade Phelan.
from what I read, he will be removed if he wants to or not.
They teamed up with the most hateful, anti American democrat in the House of Representatives, what else would he expect.
I have been calling/emailing for his removal everyday.
I’m sure a lot others have too.

I'd bet the two are the same two that voted for impeachment too.

Did DeSantis actually go campaigning with Phelan as he originally planned to this weekend? I haven't seen anything on it, but I'd guess DeSantis changed his plans after last week. If logic and reason was involved.

It’s not a done deal, a Republican will have to make the motion, then it will take 76 votes, it’s not going to be easy.
contact your representative if you want to remove this rino/traitor from speaker.
                            he has to go.

This will never happen for the very reason Phelan was selected to the Speakership to begin with. There 60 some odd Dems that vote as a block and do not cross party lines. They select who they can manage as the leader of the house. Said annointed leader then finds 11 Rs who he can coerce either by hook or by crook meaning they either have dirt on them and threaten to withdraw party support or the bribe with high level committee appointments and voila…. The Dems have decided who the Speaker will be.

the 60+ Dems won’t budge. The question is did this turn any of the traitorous Rs? Or has Paxton & Co been able to become the “new sherriff” in town?

I just don’t think the turncoat Rs will jump ship now
