I watched a self made tiktok like vid where a local resident said his was one of the first three house burned...said the FD came out after daylight & put out a brushfire upwind. Went back in & some hours later smelled smoke & it was on. HIs view is the hi winds & embers caused a spark.

It appears the area is like mexico where the power has to be on for there to be any water pressure...that was reported & just saw a vid where a resident was successfully fighting back the flames & then the hoses quit. He lost everything. My home burnt up when I was like in the 3rd grade & can't imagine dealing with it as an adult. Heart breaking for those folks.

I personally think multiple fires started due to folks blaming it on the electric co & the area covered...LOTS of folks are questioning arson. Vultures are swooping in trying to snag the dirt. It's a bloody mess.

I heard they had power lines down and that’s what caused the initial fire, fd went out and put it out and later due to high winds it flames back up

I think I saw a video of down power lines as well near where a small fire was. Being recorded by a person across the street.

what ever it was that wind made it move fast. I’m out on the space beams. Lol

any who, I posted this on the dam is breaking thread and then saw this so it think it’s fits just as well.

obummer on Twitter asking for donations to his foundation to help Hawaii. The comment section is GLORIOUS! Well worth the click and just reading comments. I for sure didn’t listen to the video. I don’t give two flying fracks what he has to say.

Looks like water was too sacred…. No really. I’m serious.

Here is M. Kaleo Manuel, the Hawaii water official who refused to release water resources and let landowners fight the Maui fire, explaining his "philosophy" about water:

"Native Hawaiians treated water as one of the earthly manifestations of a god...We've become used to looking at water as something that we use, and not something that we revere...We can reconnect to that traditional value set."

I'm sure all the victims of the Maui fire are grateful their leaders were focused on worshipping water rather than using it to save their lives.

here he is on video. This is from a Charlie Kirk post in case anyone can’t open the link.

The water was shut off. The fire dept was called off. The streets out were blocked off by police.. Boats were refused entry to rescue swimmers. School was called off and the children were home mostly alone while parents worked. The fires scorched buildings and cars but little in the way of trees and brush. Lasers and explosions were seen and heard. Blacktop streets are fine but cars are burnt to a crisp. The Island was slated for green 15 minute cities but citizens were having no part of it. The head of the police was also installed as the head at the Las Vegas mass shooting situation. Figure out the rest.
