This broadhead shoots and kills like nothing I have ever had before!

This is ridiculous. There is no way a mechanical head can kill like this. People have been telling us for years that nothing is better than the old tried and true. it's not technology its just a fad, and soon we will all get rid of all of this "technology" and go back to rocks just like the cave men had, they certainly did ok, killed mammoths even.

I shot about a 300# hog at BAO with a rage that was quartering away and only got about 4" of penetration. I would not shoot a large hog with them again. (just my opinion). I would, however, shoot them at deer and smaller hogs.

I guess that means the model T is still a good car. Orvil Wright had the best plane ever. Muzzle loaders are far better home protection than a 45. I guess Bell's telephone is better than the cell you carry too!

Technology changes. It brings some good and some bad. When I learned about "hunting mammoths" there were typically many hunters that speared the beast to feed many. I doubt any of us are gonna take a pack of 10 into the woods to stone a 400# hog together

Don't have such old man syndrom...If you are a traditionalist, great for you. But understand, not everyone, including myself has evolved like that. I get a kick out of a nice compound, carbon arrows and a "hip" new broadhead!

        Good hunting!

I like Rage broadheads even though I lost a hog that was big n. I shoot 60 pds also. I think shot placement has got more to do with it than anything. The next weekend I shot a hog with a vortex 2.5 cut quartered in. and it didnt go 20 yards go figure. So make sure the broadheads are sharp and go get'm.

I called rage the other day to ask them that very question. They said they require 40lbs KE. I shoot a 50lb bow so I wanted to know if they would work before I spent that kind of money on them.

Whatever! I am kinda with the other gentleman who responded to your "Oldie" remarks, I can tell you first hand that these mechanical broadheads can and did do exactly what I said they did. They are a very good product and as you can see from my profile, (If you care to take a gander), I truely did zap all of these animals this year with the two blade RAGE. I also will tell you that they are a relatively durable broadhead and shoot extremely straight. As for your "Ridiculous" comment, " Please don't hate the player, hate the game"! Keep'em straight my friend!

I personally shoot the 2" 2 blade. I have never tried the three blade. I am sure they are very effective as well.

I've used them and the 2-blades work great. Biggest drawback is that they don't hold-up. I haven't been able to re-use a single one like they claim. There's a reason that they offer replacement kits. They're expensive at $30-40 per set of three to be single use.I love my Slick Tricks, though.

They are devastating on Hogs....But they are a little expensive to be shooting at varmits. I usually shoot Super Sonics or Muzzy MX4
