Need some Help from bow hunting Brothers and Sisters

Today i had taken a call from a bow hunting brother, the lease went up to 2,000.00 from 1,480.00 per year. I hunt in mason texas on , about 800 acres only 5 bowhunters on this lease . with a lot of time and money we built this lease from a shot out rifle lease to a great bow lease. the trust and bond that we have is the best you can on any deer lease. it is a bow hunting family. my 7 year old daughter loves this place, my gut tells me to stay , that i will never find another lease like this . this is the second lease in 20 years i have been on, the first was east texas, OUTLAWS there. looking for some advice.

    Thank you

Brother, if you have been looking around $2000 isn't that expensive these days, unfortunately!!! From what you have just described, I would stay in a heart beat!!! Good land to lease and good guys to hunt with are a rare find these days... Just my .02

I'm getting off a place, near Fredericksburg, that is $10,000 a year for 600 acres and IMO, it's been shot out for years.

If it's a good place, I'd stay on.

I know how you feel, think hard before you decide. I've been part of several leases over the years that grew some really nice deer for the land owner only to double or triple the price. There is always someone willing to pay for a well manged lease. Maybe you could add another hunter or 2 to offset the increase. Especially if you get someone that rarely hunts.

like Texastaxi said above. 2 grand isnt all that much. If its a good place I would for sure stay.

I only wish I could find a lease as you described for 2 thousand. I would defenitely work the wallet on that deal. It works out to be under 50 dollars a month. I would be a greeter at wal mart on my off time if i had too

I think is was a shock at first , thinking he was wanting to put some of them kill everything that moves gun hunters back on , after we have gotten the deer to mid 130's to 150's . he has drove up to the ranch a seen some nice bucks now. before just coons and a few doe's. then the cows mess up more than they are worth. after sleeping on it , i was staying . just hard to see a couple of good hunting friends can't stay . we have hunted together for the last 8 years, just the five of us. the bond, trust, help that they brought .
