    Silver Back

This past weekend my buddy Derrik Malone and I was able to sneak off to his deer lease in Lexington....just outside of Giddings. Our intent was to get the hell out of Houston, fill some feeders, tend to his cameras, build a fire, drink some beers and oh yeah....stalk some hogs!

Saturday we ran up on a pack of about 50 hogs in the middle of a pasture @11:30am. The stalk was on as we put the wind to our face and waited patiently as they were feeding in our direction. They got within 85 yds when they took a left into a small wood lot...just what we needed. It was my turn to pull the trigger and Derrik was giving me yardage right over my shoulder. When the last pig disappeared in the woods, we hauled butt straight to them and within 15 minutes I found myself clipped on inside 20yds of this pig.

She was the alpha sow in this pack...we had a ball glassing her as she was bossing all the other hogs around.

She gave me a great shot and I took it...tipped w/slicktrick...had a great blood trail at impact...she went 30 yds.

And you must be shooting one of those 84 inch axle to axle bows
