    Spike down

It was a great morning to be in the woods. It was foggy with just a bit of breeze blowing in my face. Right at first light I had a 3pt step out about 6ft in front of the blind. It was way early and there wasn't enough light to video so he got a pass. He didn't stay long as the feeder hadn't gone off and there wasn't any corn left on the ground. About 20 min after the feeder goes off, a doe and yearling buck come in with this spike in tow. He pushed them off the feeder rather agressivley, and that made my mind up that it was going to be his unlucky day. I hit record on the camcorder and hit the release. I hit him just a bit back with a very slight quartered towards angle. The raged tippped arrow entered center lung on the right side, and exited thru the liver just nicking the gut on it's way thru. He didn't make it 40 yards but I still gave him two hours just cause It wasn't a perfect hit.
