biggest deer i have killed with a bow

My daughter and I went hunting last Saturday afternoon for several days of hunting. I go this big buck on Monday morning{11/24/08}. He came down the trail toward my corn feeder and i took him at 18 yards. I normally take the doe and let my daughter take the buck {this is my first buck since 2003}, but it just worked out this way. He is an absolute monster in my book. It was very difficult for us to load him on the ATV as he was so heavy. His horns are 18 " wide and that is the widest of any buck i have taken. I wanted to take my first deer with my recurve, but i hunted 6 hunts from my tripod {set up for a close shot} but didnt see a deer. The blind i shot this deer from is too small to shoot a recurve out of.

Way to go Woody! Nice buck. See....letting your daughter shoot in the past has paid off. I like it when good things happen to good people.

I get a bigger thrill watching her shoot a nice deer. However, i am not that great a dad, as i had a typo that i just saw. I did kill a buck in 2006, not 2003. But we only shoot one buck and one doe per family on our little farm, so i normally let her shoot the buck.
