I've had my bow for a few years now but I haven't been as hard core about bowhunting until this year. This year I chose to go bow only and hang up the smoke pole. I've shot three deer with my bow before this year, 2 does and 1 spike. I hunted hard last Saturday in the 25mph winds and ended up shooting a decent 8 point for my lease. It was pretty much dark when I took the shot but I couldn't stand it. I was ready to kill something. He was standing about 15 yards broadside and I let it fly. My arrow went all the way through and he took off running. I knew I hit him and I started listening for the crash once I could not see him anymore. It sounded like a tree fell in the woods. He piled up about 35 to 40 yards in the woods from where I shot him. I could go on and on about how I felt at that time but I figure I'll keep it short and just post the pic. Sorry, the pic isn't that great, I'll try to do better next time.
