It's a little late, but wanted to share her story with all of you. We went out opening morning of bow season hoping to video her getting a deer. Before shooting light, I saw the form of a javelina coming in to our set. She had never seen one alive, and I had only seen/killed one in my life. So, I see one coming in and then there were 15-20! They were eating and fighting! They sounded like dogs growling and barking at each other. We just kept looking at each other and smiling. It was really cool! When it got light enough to film, I turned on the camera and gave her the go ahead. She drew her Hoyt Kobalt, settled the pin behind the front shoulder, and sunk the Rage 2-blade right in the sweet spot. The javelinas scattered! The one that she shot wheeled around and ran to our right, through a small clearing around some mesquite and through the prickly pear cactus... I rolled the camera around to her and got the gratuitous post-kill shot. We waited about 30 minutes and walked out of the blind. She picked up her blood soaked arrow and we began the track. We saw it run away, so we knew the direction. We trailed it by the blood anyway. We rounded the prickly pear cactus and there lay her first Javi! It was a nice boar! She was tickled, and so was I! Just wanted to share this story with you all!
