Last Friday night (about 8:30pm) I shot a pig that was about 100#’s, couldn’t find him that night. I went back on Saturday morning to find one rather rank porker… I thought maybe that it was because he was a boar and I didn’t make a great shot on him. After cleaning him and leaving him on ice for a couple of days, he was still stinking… (and though some good advise from the folks here on TBH) I decided to throw away the potential bad meat.
The first picture is last weeks pig.
Well, last night I shot another boar that I’m guessing would go between 200-250#’s. I shot him quartering to me at about 10 yds @5:50pm. I gave him 30 minutes and found him about 80 yds from my stand. The 85 gr. Thunderhead stuck in about halfway to the fletching and stopped at the hide on the off-side. The pictures aren’t the best, but here he is…
