Just got in from eastern Colorado from spot and stalking big Muleys. My good friend was up to bat first and we glassed up a giant buck with a small group of does and younger bucks. As luck would have it, the deer bedded in a place that would be good for a stalk. After several tense minutes, my buddy was able to connect on a brute at 54 yds. After several high fives and a blizzard on the way, I would be next up. We covered lots of ground and late in the evening in a heavy thunderstorm, I blew the chance at a big typical with matching flyers. The next morning would greet us with 40-50 mph sustained winds and gusts to 70 with blowing snow. We would not be able to find the flyer buck but did find a big heavy horned brute bedded and made a play on him in a 20 degree hurricane. After several snow crawling minutes, I was able to get in position for a shot. Once it was said and done, we were able to kill two Colorado Muleys going 185" and 189". Now it's time to chase some Kansas whitetails with my 14 yo hopefully getting him on a big whitetail
