First deer with a bow... Finally

Yesterday evening I was fortunate enough to take my first deer with a bow! 2 yrs ago I connected on a pretty nice buck but I think poor penetration led to not finding the deer nor any sign of a lethal shot. Yesterday was my chance at a do over. A doe came in about 5 pm and I was able to seal the deal. I got a 23 yard broadside shot on her out of the brush blind my son and I threw together. The 465 grain black eagle carnivore with a ramcat on the end of it didn't have any penetration issues. Full pass through breaking a leg bone and two ribs. Went through both lungs and clipped part of the heart. She went maybe 50 yards and was done. I'm still as excited as can be about it! It's an amazing feeling to finally get the job done with my bow.
