    First Kansas Buck

Been hunting on a buddies place outside of Wellington. Hadn't been getting many bucks on camera until today. Pulled the card after my morning hunt and had 4 or 5 good bucks.

Put out some doe in heat around the tree and hung one up with me. Didn't think hanging the one up in the tree, as it was upwind and only about 2 feet from my head.

Sitting there and I catch movement. Take a look with the binos and verified it was one of the better bucks. He worked a couple of scrapes and came on in. Slightly quartered to me at about 12 yards. Settled the pin and squeezed the trigger. He ran about 50 yards, but ended up dropping within about 40 yards of the stand.
