My first hunt of the season. Had to wait a few weeks due to the birth of my daughter.
Tried to get in my bow blind this morning, when I opened the blind up it must have had 500 wasps inside. I won't hunt in a blind infested with them devils.
Decided to make a run to another stand before my feeders threw. Got to my send spot and as soon as I was walking in I could hear the feeder start throwing corn. Decided to just climb to the top of the hill and sit in my wife's gun blind overlooking the same feeder. Sure enough 2 boars come out to feed. Had to wait about 40 minutes for good light to see them ( I need to fix my throw times!)
I decided to let an arrow loose at the bigger pig. I ranged him at 50 yards. Set my pin and let her fly.
The arrow hit right where it was supposed to, and had a dead boar about 40 yards away. This is the farthest I have attempted to shoot at an animal with my bow. I was quite pleased with the outcome!
Here is where I hit him. Perfect shot.
And finally a shot from about where the pig was standing looking back towards the blind on the hill where I was at.
