Season is over before it really began.

Managed to get in an opening weekend hunt but saw nothing but a couple does.

Yesterday the landowner's step son wounded and didn't recover a doe.

Now he has put a stop to all deer hunting with bows.

I'm never going to really enjoy this sport until I buy my own place.

You ought to ask him if you're gonna get some of your money back because he's cutting your season a month short

That would kill me season. I bow hunt all the time. I feel your pain. Time for a new lease! I'm looking as well, maybe would could combine resources.

      BTW love my T-Mate

He's a friend and it's not a lease situation. I don't have any reason to drive tree hours to help him with his cattle or fences or fill feeders etc. if I can't hunt.

I don't have any desire to shoot a deer at 30 yards from my bow blind with a rifle. I'm bow only now.

If anyone has a lead on a tiny (read: affordable) piece of land for sale shoot me a PM.

Does that mean he doesn't know anybody who has shot a deer with a gun and didn't recover it? I know of that happening too so I guess they should just quit hunting...

          Sorry

It happens all the time with rifle hunters too. Land owner seems closed minded good luck

I'm confused. He's your friend.... but you have no reason to drive 3 hours to help him with cows or fill feeders if you can't hunt. Sounds a little like he may be a "friend" out of convenience. Sorry you lost your bow hunting privileges but obviously his land his rules.
