    Day hunt in Coryell county

My parents came in from New Mexico for the weekend to visit us and the grandchildren, and my dad and I went down to a small ranch for a day hunt. We had a blast and saw some amazing deer. i have lots of video of the trip, but i have only got one uploaded so far to youtube. I ended up shooting 2 doe on that day hunt, first one was direct through the heart. I'm a big fan of slick trick broad heads.

If you want to see the shot skip to 4:45.

top doe ran about 40 yards from the point of impact, weighed in at 84 lbs

this one got about 80 yards as the shot was a bit higher, not a drop of blood anywhere. proof that no blood trail does not equal a living deer. she weighed in at 98 lbs

Dr. Brock! Great guy. He at least used to be in the volunteer fire department. Very nice guy.
