Wife comes home at 5pm and tells me to get in the stand church group meeting is canceled. I thought it was too late. I've hunted the past few days periodically with the North Northeast wind and have been busted by Split G2 (Target #2) 2 times. I've really been after a mature really nice 8. Well I took a quick shower and ran 500 yds to my set-up. Nestled in and searched TBH threads. FIL text me asking for something at 7:15 and I reply back that I'm in the stand. At that point it's almost to dark to see my pins. I stand up and low and behold is the old 8 standing 10 yds to my right staring right at me!
He looks at me 15' up, puts his head down and walks left. I draw, set the pin the best I could and release. Now I'm sitting here shaking to death giving him some time. I heard brush thrashing 30-40 yes away. I will update when I can so please, patience!!!!
