    First Bow Kill

I shot a doe Saturday morning for my first bow kill. Man what a rush. First time in a bow stand. 18 yd shot. Not a perfect shot but the Grim Reaper broad head only let her go about 60 yds. Didn't even think about taking pics until after it was quartered and in the cooler. I thoroughly enjoyed being up close and personal with all of the wildlife around. Deer, Dove, Quail, Turkey, Prairie Dogs, Rabbits, and even had a bobcat come through trying to catch a rabbit. By the time I got the bow up and settled the bobcat was gone. I'll try and do better next time and have pics for everyone.

My wife thinks it already has. I bought my bow right before hunting season last year. I didn't feel confident enough to hunt with it until this season. I spent countless hours practicing and tuning until I did feel confident. 3 weeks before the season I would go out in the back yard every day and shoot at my 3D target. I would take three arrows out with me .If my first shot was in the heart or lungs I would stop. If it was not I would continue to shoot until I had 3 in the heart or lungs. My wife learned that when I walked in the house every day I was headed to get my bow first. Then she could talk to me when I got finished. LOL
