Saturday was my first deer bowhunting adventure. The deer came towards the feeder and my heart about jumped out of my chest. I pulled my bow back and the deer decided to hang out behind a tree in front of me. I had to hold the bow drawn back for what felt like an hour. About a minute later the deer moved from behind the tree, walked near the feeder (22 yards away), and turned slightly away from me. I put the sight on her and let the arrow fly. The arrow went thru the left side about 8 inches behind the shoulder and came out thru the right shoulder. The arrow flew thru the deer and was stuck in the ground before the deer could even react. The deer kicked it’s legs up in the arm like a rodeo bronco, ran about 30 yards, and that was it. I started hunting last season and bought my bow Feb 08. Thanks to everyone on this site with the great tips and advise that made this success possible
