Live Elk hunt trip

Just made it to the top of the Ridge after a half a mile hike up an incline and it started raining hard and slipping and sliding up the mudding trail. I just put this sitka gear hunting clothes to the test. I'm impressed just a little bit of breach at the seams at the knees but I'm dry underneath

Everything got wet, my boots are soaked but I'm dry and warm. And the wind is COLD

I got a visitor at my stand. He's eating the guts from my cousins kill

Don't know if I should leave him or try to get in my stand

He left looks like, I'm gonna try to hunt the little bit of time I have left

Nothing this evening no elk no kill

Got back to camp and nobody's killed anything this evening

I had to sleep in this morning , I've been exhausted, well my body has but my mind just wants to keep going

Thrs been a delay in the timeline when I post in the evening because I have no signal and it's really late by the time I get back from the high country but I try to post it as it was happening then to try to keep it as live up to date as I can

Nobody has kill but my cousin but we are seeing elk but the between afternoon storms crewing up the thermal winds , mountain lions , bears and elk not wanting to cooperate it's been a game for sure. I guess that's why they call it hunting. Right now Coffee sounds Awesome !

I had a back up fly rod and did a little fly fishing today the fishing was slow but it was so relaxing
