Decent Boar Down

Was able to slip away to the back after I got done mowing. I was resting my eyes enjoying the sounds of the woods and out popped this guy about 7pm.

Smacked him right in the shoulder and this is the first time I didn't get a pass through. All good though, because he didnt make it 30yds, Grim Reaper came through again!

It did not, I swear he went right for a tree. The 10 inches of arrow was still in him but the upper shaft was toast.

Oh well, I don't mind, If I shot a smoke pole as much as I shot my bow, it would cost way more in ammo.

I did learn something with my shot placement.

On a bigger pig, I will shoot a little further back (2") and about 2" lower. I could see this guy pile up BUT had it been a tracking situation, this might have been tough. The arrow smacked the left shoulder and then stopped on the plate opposite shoulder. Kept all the blood inside.
