Well..as gekkos stated he hunted hard for that buck for sure..Ive seen him and he was definitly a buck to hunt for..he was also seeing another buck I think at the the same stand which was a buck that had moved from mine to this one..I honestly had thought the TTHA had taken him cause he hadnt been seen in 3 weekends..well Sat Evening he showed up on brothers stand and I was so surprised!

I had honestly given him up for gone and was hunting for does when about 4:30 a large racked buck showed up.. IT WAS HIM..there was no corn on the ground and he meandered off into the cedars and I was devastated. I thought well his feeder goes off at 5:00 if it's meant to be he'll be back.
Sure enough 5:05 he strolled in, I knew it was to be if he'd give me shot. Previously I had told myself after the rut I'll give him a dirt nap but he would NEVER give me that shot angle I love so well.

He browsed around there for a few minutes and walked up broadside at 15 yds..THIS was my shot! Talk about hyperventialing! WHEEEEW. I drew and he turned and was looking my direction and I told myself NOW OR NEVER. I released and like gekko man I remember only the arrow sailing through the net.He darted and ran and never kicked buckled or nothing and I thought I had actually put a terrible shot on him..

I sat in the pop up..one of those HUGE Taj Mahals that gekkos selling for about 15 mins and went to the spot..yep..meat, blood and NO arrow to be seen. I was so down at this point I was ready to just fold up and so I started following where I saw him run and sure enough..BLOOD trail big time. I was tailing very slowly and just happened to look up and there he was! 30yds is all he ran and after all was said and done I put a liver shot on him. We let Trudy<bros tracking dog> go on up and track him and she didi a great job! Shes a honey of of a pup from Kevin B's litter and it was dark to boot..bro has pics of them both on his camera and keeps trying to send them all to me but coming across in an .ink and hotmails blocking them..as soon as I get them I'll post both bucks..

We're all 3 very close and I feel so bad that number 2 bro didnt get a buck this year himself. Looks as though we're all going throught that 1 year has to give one thing up except the DEERSLAYER..GEKKO...man that bro dont miss nuttin!
