I stuck my first buck yesterday afternoon...and I am still so excited!!! We had just moved my tree stand to a different location, and this was my first hunt there. Within 20 minutes, my stand was surrounded by over 10 deer, my buck included. It was hard for me to get a good shot, because the does were around me from every angle. He was about 15 yards from me when I shot, and he kicked like a mule when I hit him. He ran like HELL out of the woods, so I started second guessing my shot. Later, we found him about 150 yards from the stand!! My shot was a little farther back than I had liked (shaking like a leaf), the arrow entered through the liver and somehow exited through the lungs. The adrenaline I left in the stand was unlike anything I've ever felt before!! SO awesome!!!
