This is a buck I started hunting last December 2013. Then, he was a main frame 9 with a long drop on his right. Which got him the name "Machete". This year I couldn't believe how nontypical he grew. We've been getting trail cam pictures of this deer since June. My husband posted them a while back. This is the first time I've ever had trail cams out this early and been able to watch the deer grow. It's been really cool that he stayed constant and gave us lots of great pictures. But like most of the bucks in our area after he shed his velvet we got less and less pictures of him and rarely a day light picture. As opening day of season approached, there where spells where we didn't have pictures for weeks. But when he walked in on 10/17/2014 at 7:30am despite his attempt to jump string on me, I put my 3 blade Rage broad head through both lungs. He left a blood trail even Ray Charles could see, as he ran about 120 yards. Amazingly in all this excitement, I even managed to get it on film. This harvest was definitely a group effort. I owe a huge thank you to my husband and father in law for letting me hunt this buck with them. Everyone had a huge part from scouting to the awesome hay bail blinds Dad made. This is definitely a buck of a life time. I wasn't lucky, I was blessed!

P.S. So that you don't have to ask... This is not a high fence or pen raised buck. This is a free range Kansas Monster Whitetail.
