I just got home from South/Central Colorado and my first archery elk hunt. The elevation nearly killed me, living at 34ft and hunting about 12k ft was pretty tough. We hunted in unit 80, south of Del Norte, had a good guide and was lucky enough to get into a few bulls bugling and that would respond to calls. This bull came in and tried to circle down wind, a cow call stopped him slight quartering to me at 25 yds, I was able to make a pretty good shot and got a complete pass thru, he only made it about 75 yds before crashing down into a draw.
