Left my bow at camp to sit with Rachel and hopefully film her first buck with a bow. We have some nice (for the area) bucks on TC so I am really excited for her this year.
After a long wet morning sit with little action we went back to camp to have brunch and a nap. Back in the stand at 2:30 hoping for early movement... After 3 hours of sweat and catnaps this 5 point rolled up. We watched him for a while and decided we would take him out of the gene pool since none of the better bucks were active.
After waiting for the broadside shot, she buried the pink nockternal tight behind the shoulder. Buck ran 60 yards and fell dead in the middle of the road.
Getting a photo of my beautiful pregnant wife with her first bow buck is such a special treat for me. I plan to frame it and hang it in the baby room
