Took half day off today and all day tomorow. Headed to the lease straight from work at 11 am today. Going to be looking for this guy with bow in hand. Will keep updated throughout the weekend.

Settled in almost 30 min ago. Already had a small 5 point come in range and a better buck come by at about 80 yards. Couldn't tell what he was. Looks like they may be on there feet this evening. Here's my shooting lanes that I hope he steps into.

Been covered up with deer all evening. Had a nice 8 at the feeder and another nice 8 came in and pushed him out. They stomped the ground at each other and really bowed up. I thought they were going to go at it and then the one that was here first decided he better move on out. The dominant buck escorted him to the brush 50 yards away and then have him a snort wheeze and then came back to eating corn. I watched him, a 6, 5, 4 points along with a handful of does and nubin bucks for almost an hour. Smaller bucks pushed the does around hard for a little bit and then went back to eating corn. All of the bucks hit 2 different scrapes that are 25 & 40 yards away. Also saw some of them hit the scrape 80 yards away. Been a great hunt and now I just need there granddady to come by.

Didn't have the wind I needed so Saturday I decided to pull out the 270. He came out and went straight to the feedpen. After watching him for about 10 min I decided to take him. Found little to no blood but found the deer about 40 yards away. We could smell him from 20 yards and new he was somewhere close.



By looking at his teeth we have him at 6.5 years old. The deer field dressed 127 and I scored him at 118 5/8".
