    No Blood Trail

Shot at a buck around 1815. Heard "swack" when the arrow hit. Arrow deflected back and to the side and landed around 15 yards back. Had white and light brown hair around the broadhead. Found a little bit of meat and hair in the opening of the broadhead. Shooting a Rage 2 Blade 2.3" cut. Had a little bit of blood smeared on one of the fletchings. No blood Trail.

Do you think I just grazed the bottom of him or shot right through or right below the blackstrap?

Plan on going back in the morning and see if I can get on a blood trail.

The first 6" of the arrow had a "deer" smell to it but the back of the arrow didn't have a smell.

Any thoughts or opinions are appreciated.

Non vital hit.... Could have been in a number of locations... But I have been on a ton of recoveries and this scenerio always ends with no deer and usually the deer will been seen soon on a cam very much alive. Good luck!

With white hair on the broadhead I say your shot was probably low and just clipped the belly.
