Well I arrived at the C today and met Skylar and his dad. They took me and the boy around the ranch and I think I saw everything! Gemsbuck, Aoudad, fallow, sitka, oryx, elk, axis, red deer, sable, blackbucks and a coyote. Me and the 5 year old went for our evening sit and had fallow come in almost immediately. Blackbucks were running everywhere and even had a 30" plus axis come by. All hung out at 75 yards and further. Did have one nice aoudad come in though. Perfect 30 yard shot. I was at full draw and as I was getting ready to shoot my son pops up and spoked me and the aoudad. Needless to say I missed!!! Back at it again in the morning! This place is awesome!!!

Well update for this morning. My son does NOT want to wake up and go hunting. He just wants to sleep in. So now I am torn. Wait for him or go at it alone and possible have an actual chance to shoot something??? Hahaha, he is 5 by the way and is probably the noisiest little dude to have in the blind.
Him: Daddy shoot that
Me: i can't bubba
Him: why not he is right there
Me: it's the wrong animal

Good luck.....I get what you're doing, but having a 5 yr old in your bow blind, is not a recipe for a successful hunt.
Spending quality time together, yes.......quality hunting, most likely not.Comment
