Nailed these two pigs at 20 yards. I was sitting on a corn feeder and about 20 pigs came in a half hour before dark. I shot the boar, which ended up weighing in at 130 lbs. All the pigs scattered briefly and came right back in to resume the feast which resulted in the the smaller one. Both arrows were double lung pass throughs. Neither pig made it more than 25 yards before expiring and I found both arrows within 5 feet of one another.
This weekend was a first for me on several levels. These were not only first pigs I have shot with my bow, but also the first animals. I have harvested many animals with my crossbow, but just recently started hunting with a compound. This was the first time I have hunted with Muzzy broadheads. I was using 4 blade 100 grain heads. The performed magnificently. It was also my first time to film a hunt, which was really cool. Now, if I could just figure out how to get 8mm tape into a digital format on my computer so I can post videos.
