I thought I would also post my results from Manitoba, Memorial Day week.
I was hunting near Grandview, just north of the Riding Mountains Natl Park border. The nice thing about this is that the Natl park is the only "no hunting" refuge in Manitoba. Lots of big bears come down after the spring thaw to feed in the surrounding area.
Myself and my three hunting partners saw an average of 10-12 bears just on the first night. Lots of color phase bears, but I was after size on my first bear, the next one will be color. The bears were 382lb (by a woman LOL), 312lb, 302lb, and one cinnamon at 200lb.
I would definately go to this outfitter again. I also think I gained 5lbs myself from all of the good cooking.
Mine was the 302lb, shot with my Z7x and G5 Striker broadheads. Double lunged and ran about 50 yards.
I also saw 2 Timber Wolves while there.
You can tell from the pics that it was truely a big bear.
