    Manitoba Black Bear 5-24-13

On May 18th, I flew out of San Antonio for my first black bear hunt in Manitoba, Canada. My first sit was on May 20th. I saw 21 bears during the week. As always in bowhunting, there were highs & lows. On 5-24-13, the last day of my five day hunt, the video camera was rolling, I had an arrow nocked & I was blessed to drop the string on my first black bear in the Province of Manitoba, Canada. Here's an LDP for my GS buddies!

Congrats on your first Bear. My first was much smaller. Manitoba is a great destination and there are some monsters roaming that province.

Congrats. 12 more days and we're Canada bound ourselves. Hoping I'm fortunate enough to bring one back as well.

Awesome! How hard is it to get the skin/rug back to the US? I killed a deer in Manitoba back in 09. It was a pain in the butt with horns and cape. Had to have someone else bring it back later.
