My wife (Hunting Diva on here) shot her 1st hog on Saturday evening around 7:45pm in Hye,Tx. Shot it with her Mathews Passion at 23 yards from a tree stand. Turned out to be a 180-200 lb boar in my best estimation. Hog was quartering away and she put the slick trick between 2 ribs about 6" behind the quartering away shoulder, pierced through center of the liver (no pic but I did see the liver), and the broadhead came to rest just short of exiting the hogs hide low and about 2" behind the opposing shoulder. Went about 50 yards and piled up dead right there. I'm proud of her. She lost a couple last year, but really stayed after it and received her payoff. Congratulations Christi you are setting a great example for these kids to follow in our footsteps in the woods.

I don't recall who posted the video below, but thank you. It really brought the major difference between hogs and deer kill zones and spines to my attention. I watched it, and ironically showed it to my wife the day before her kill. It really emphasized to get it extremely close to the shoulder broadside or wait for quartering shot. Much less room for error that a deer unless of course you are not shooting with enough force to go through both front shoulders.
