Well folks this is the first time that I have had the chance to go hunting sense Febuary of '06. Haveing my son back in my life is more important to me then hunting whitetail this year. But enough of that I have a fellow Fire Fighter that has some land in Coupland, Tx. that was gracious enough to let a few of use go out and hunt some hogs ( alot of hogs LOL ). Wednesday morning I got off shift and headed out to put up a tent blind near a pond and man was there alot of sign. I corned the pond and a few areas around me on Wed. day and left it alone, my Capt. went out Thurs. and feed it one more time. Friday morning I went out about 11 am and decided to seat for the rest of the day. Well around 3:45 pm here they come, man was I excited, all I thought was I could have a hog down and be out of here before dark!!! Well they fed behind me for about 25 min. with the camera rolling ( no hogs in the frame at this time. Thought to my self the first one that comes in is getting it. Then they decided to move there way into the front of the blind and that is all she wrote. At first I had 3 sows come in about 80 lbs. and they spooked, but the pigglets stayed around and then a 160lb. sow came in. I waited for the pigglets to clear from behind her and the 100 grain Thunderhead made its mark, both lungs and the bottom of the HEART. She went maybe 25 yrds. and was out like a light, no tracking needed. I did manage to get this on video and will have this up maybe later today.
