    Hard Work Ten

Well we really didnt have a name for this buck because none of us had any history of him. He started showing up about a week and a half before Sunday the 21st although I had 1 pic of him in early September.
I had told my son and BIL that I wanted to look at him in person because I thought he might be only 3.5. After seeing him I had him at 4.5.

The reason I named the thread Hard Work 10 was because we decided to change leases last year. As everyone knows what a chore that is after you have been on a place for 7 years. The acumulation piles up and up. We only moved 10 miles as a crow flies but being 5+ hours away time was short to get this done. Leaving a warm and dry camp house for me and my son was the bummer of this move since I had no trailer to stay in. Trailer purchased, electrical ran, water figured out, all blinds and feeders set we were all ready for the beginning of the season.

This 10 pt was really not the target buck for me. I had a really wide and tall 9pt. that had very weak brows but the "Hunting Consultant" had him in the high 30's low 40's.I had that deer at full draw but just a bit to dark for my old eyes.

Sunday morning (21st) the 10 shows early with a monster of a 6 that eats and eats and eats. The 10 is really spooky comes and leaves 3 different times. I decided that if I was going to shoot this buck It's now or never. He was at 9 yds and left of the window. I had to lean hard right to get the shot. The arrow flies and the deer drops in his tracks 1 lung and SPINED...First thought is put another one in him but now I cant get the shot off because of were he is so I get out and finished the job. Not the way any of this was intended but the job was done. I say my prayer and start sending out the mass text. Thanks for all the help Wellingtontex, Clark and Jethro not to mention my son and brother. Hard work does pay off!
