Sorry for the wait guys. I couldn't find my scoring kit last night and then I fell off into a whiskey bottle in celebration.
We took some more pics this morning and loaded him up to take him to town. When we got to Circle V feed store to get him scored for the Los Cuernos de Tejas contest, we realized that they were closed on Sunday. I called my buddy Cole who scores for the contest and he told me to come to his house and he would score the buck. He couldn't find his score kit either, so he used a tape to get an unofficial score. I told Cory and Cole, that I didn't really want to score him because I was happy with him without a number attached. As Cole started measuring, I was surprised by a few measurements and realized I overestimated some and underestimated some. With 25" main beams, 17" spread, 13" G3's, and 37 1/2" of mass, he scored 181 6/8! He's a beautiful buck and I'm proud of him no matter what he scores. The hunt for Coma was a hot, sweaty, frustrating, exciting, challenging, and rewarding experience that I'm glad he provided for me. Now I'm back to cull duty
