Last weekend started out great with opening weekend being a wash out. Hunting near Jarrell, I had been watching this buck for a year now and he came in two weeks ago to the feeder like normal. 20 yard heart shot. My biggest buck so far. Shot with a 125g Swacker.
This Friday got out of work later than planned so did not get to the blind until around 7:30 pm. Had a bunch of 30 lb hogs under the feeder but could not get a shot off. Saturday no deer or hogs came in the morning but had a great time at camp. Saturday evening around 8:20 the group of hogs came back in, about 20 all sizes and colors from white, red, spotted and black. I took a shot at a white one that was about 40 lbs and shot over it's back. They all ran off except 2. I shot this one at 19 yards, it was actually broad side when I shot so I guess it turned right when I let the arrow go. Pig on a stick. Shot with a 125g NAP HellRaiser, went thru skull and did not even dull the blades. About 30 lbs, going to cook whole.
