So I didn't get to go afield opening day... But the day after I did. I hunted some pub lands. That blew.
Then got a call from a buddy telling me to come hunt with him. I pulled up stakes and blasted over to his dads house. Climbed into the blind about 4:30. My buddy said to shoot whatever came in but his dad (the guy who owns the land) didn't give a clear signal.
It was great weather. Perfect breeze. But no service.
About 6pm a heck of a 9 pointer showed up in the timber line eating acorns. I had him broadside at 35 yards. So I Sent a text to my pal asking if I could shoot him.
Of corse no service so I watched this really nice 9 pointer browse all the way into 7 yards. I'm so sick I'm not even going to post up a pic of him. Eventually the torment ended and he just went away.
About 8:15 the piggies showed up. In Mass. So I blessed a perfect little sow with the Insanity. It was a great shot. She died in view.

After all was said and done... Pops gave me the green light to shoot anything that moves and is legal.
