Tip's on for a Axis hunt

This is going to be my first time to hunt for an Axis, and I was wanting to know if there are any tips yall could give me or if there is anything I should do differently than i do while hunting whitetail. Ohh and this is going to be an archery hunt, i'm excited and nervous at the same time any tips yall have will be appretiated.
    Thanks,
    Cecil

They are more skittish than whitetail so bring your A game. Also, aim slightly more forward than you would for a whitetail similar to hunting african game. And try to use a stout fixed blade broadhead over a mechanical cause axis bucks can be awfully meaty sob's, just ask Twiztid. Good luck!

shot placement shot placement shot placement. quartering away is going to be your best bet, if not make sure and tuck it right behind the shoulder

I would not sling a rage at one. I've heard and witnessed bad stories with mechanicals and axis. They are very tough animals with thick skin. As stated before quartering away is your best shot because their hearts are right between their shoulders

I agree with most all the comments so far shot placement especially, also if he is walking or moving in my experience if you try to use the sounds you do on a whitetail to stop him such as soft whistle or grunt with your voice he will kick it in high gear.
