I've hunted with a heavy home made spear but wanted something that I could get more distance with. So I ordered a cold steele samburu , anybody ever use one?

No, but I have considered getting one of the Cold Steel Boar Spears and taking it hog hunting (with dogs). -
Tim wells killed a buffalo with one and there is some NFL player that killed an elk with one. I think both are on youtubeComment

I watched the elk video it was pretty cool. I have a boar spear that I killed one with but its way to heavy. I want to use it for spot and stalk hunting.Comment

Ive got one... they are ok.. the head bends easy. You have about a 10-20 yard range on them.Comment

Got mine in and it throws as good as I had hoped it would. I did have to spend a little time putting an edge on it. But got it for 51 to the door through elite tactical.Comment
