My buddy Dennis booked a spring bear hunt quite a while back. He was to hunt with the guy that owns Rip Cord rests and some other guys as well. Well, a few weeks ago guys started bailing and it ended up that Dennis and Don (From Rip Cord) were the only two left.
On May 5th Dennis was working on a project car with his son when the unthinkable happened. He tore his biceps muscle in his right arm. This was 6 days before he was supposed to leave on his much anticipated bear hunt in Alberta, Canada. To say he was bummed out was an understatement.
After telling his (and mine) friend Paul at Double G Archery in Georgetown what had happened, Paul steppd up to the plate to help Dennis out. Dennis has a 70# bow and could not pull it with the torn muscle in his arm. Paul had Dennis come up the the shop and rigged up one of his personal bows for Dennis at 52#. It hurt, but Dennis could shoot it and the hunt was still on.
Well, Dennis left on his hunt on Sat afternoon. His first night on the hunt was Sun and he managed to kill a beautiful color phase bear. Here is a pic of Dennis with his great bear:

Congrats again Dennis!
And thanks to Paul for coming through for a friend in a pinch!
