I've always wanted a droptine deer and today was the day I would have a opportunity at one! I know he's not the biggest deer horn wise but he is definitely old enough and that is what I look for in taking an animal MOST the time.lol Had trail pics of this deer 3 months ago and not anymore pics or sightings of this deer since then! He came right in like he owned the place and camped out under the feeder not even looking at any of the deer around him. Without any daytime pics or ever visually seeing this deer I was shocked to say the least to be visited by a buck I only knew from trail pics 3 months ago! I've been after a much larger deer but couldn't turn down the old droptine buck. G5 striker found its mark and 40 yards later he was down. Even though he has a broken brow tine there was something about that droptine that made the broken tine not an issue!lol

Nice drop tine buck! Is your camera still on the feeder pen? I've been wonderin the same thing at one of my sets. Had a ten coming in right after dark a couple of times and that's it. Haven't got a picture of him since! Just wonder if he's been shot or if he stopped visiting my corn pile. I hate waistin my time hunting a spot if nothing big is showing up! Looks like it paid off for you though!
