I have been buying apple scented corn in Mexico for several years. The deer seem to really like it. Tried mixing some Buck Candy with corn that I hand tossed and maybe that made it to strong. The deer were leary of it. Stomping their feet and just going down the sendero and eating the corn thrown from my tailgate feeder (plain store bought apple flavor corn). Tried just putting the jug behind my Double Bull with lid off. Some of the deer were stomping their feet and keeping their distance. This Buck here came in at 22 yards downwind. Stomped his foot once. My Matthews Monster turned the Smoke RamCat loose. I did not give him a chance to stomp twice.
This buck was 7.5 and had been on protein for last three years. Had a 22' inside spread. 12 points. Score 144. I have one spot open for next year. Pm me for more photo's and details if seriously interested.
