50/50 here.....During the October youth hunt last year, my son was having a fit wanting to shoot squirrels instead of waiting on deer!! They "treed" us all evening and it was more than he could take!!!

Nope! Part of the show and on occasion they will let you know when some critter is coming. My son and I both shot deer on the same stand on different days by a"squirrel alarm".

I tell you what I hate. Skunks!! Had 1 come in under stand 2 nights ago at last light. I spent 10 minutes throwing sticks at it from the tree to scare it off so I could come down.

They are fun to watch when things are slow. To me its all apart of natures show. But they sure taste good fried.

I don't like squirrels, but I don't mind them around when I hunt. If they are moving around, the deer are more relaxed and they sound a lot different than a deer or pig moving through the woods. Every now and then a falcon, hawk or owl will come out of nowhere and snatch one too

I don't get tons of them, but they do occasionally sit under my feeder. They don't take much, and they are a good alarm system. I do hate coons and possums, and will shoot them every opportunity I get.

                            I Love squirrels….

I like to have squirrels around, or in the tree with me in the hardwood bottoms.

In Sept., I would check all of my favorite white oak trees and see which ones the squirrels are working the hardest.

Those deer know that racket means that acorns are hitting the ground there.:D

They are not falling yet; the squirrels are just dropping them. Plus those trees will be the first acorns of the season to hit the ground.

They will determine where I hunt in the early season….

When I start seeing them venturing on the ground to find acorns, I know the tree is about out, and it’s time to move.

                            Squirrels around a feeder…..that’s a different story.

                            Dillos on the other hand……KAD…..
