Oh wow that is nice. I heard a rumor that those along with oryx were going on a "no shoot" list because they are endangerd in their native homes. Anybody else hear anything like this? I am really wanting to score on an oryx before I die.

He was estimated by the guide at over 800lbs in the field

Not heard anything about this yet. I think their 'out' so far has been that they are technically extinct in the wild. Will be really ticked if an animal gets 'downgraded' to endangered and will require permits because of it.

The USFWS is still evaluating whether to classify the Scmitar oryx as endangered.
