I got to tell y'all I got this boar huntin' thing sowed up. All you have to do is build a small pen, 8-20 16' cattle panels. put a couple of sows in there with one nice sized boar at least 200#, then just let nature take its course. In the last 2 weeks I have had three very nice boars come to the pen trying to get in. Two of them didn't make it. The other one is still out there rooting.
I got to be honest about this one I shot last night though. He was maybe 100-125# and actually made his way into the pen. I felt the bow would be a little risky as all the hogs were staying close together,so I broke out the single shot .223. I put the cross hairs right under the ear and squeezed off on the trigger. He dropped in his tracks. I don't feel bad about shooting him out of the pen, there was no way I could seperate the boar from the rest of the heard and besides my other two boars would work him over every chance they got. So I figured he'd be better in the freezer.
I did get some pics on the digi cam and as soon as I figure out how to post them, I will.
